for the record, they’re not actually pulling all content. they’re pulling all Disney content. conversations about Marvel content haven’t happened yet. conversations about star wars content were reported to be internal. there’s some question of the extent to which Disney, Marvel and Star Wars brand aficionados overlap.
one of the selling points of the transition was that they’d first execute on ESPN where there’s existing infrastructure for an all-in-one kind of experience. they’d then turn around and execute using the Disney catalog and then make a decision about the other IP universes.
